It's summer! A car rolls by
with a surfboard on its roof.
The scent of the sea begins
from over the next few hills.
Extreme heat has passed.
There is just enough breeze.
The sun is now a lover
with a warm, gentle caress.
Who could be sad - not me -
on a day like this? I'm glad
to be alive, and here,
breathing in the summer.
“I always think that the best way to know God is to love many things.” ~ Vincent van Gogh

In my dreams! But I am enjoying the snow.
ReplyDeleteRather you than me! I am glad you enjoy snow; I'm afraid I hate the cold.
DeleteWhat a difference a little breeze can make!
ReplyDeleteYes, and the temperatures have fallen a little.
DeleteEven as far inland as we are, the ocean breezes help to move our air. Though now it is winter...here. Though today I was out in the yard without a coat. Restocking the wood pile on the porch for the cold week that is predicted.
