“I always think that the best way to know God is to love many things.” ~ Vincent van Gogh
Please note: I've been forced to moderate comments to discourage spam. As I live Down Under in the Southern Hemisphere, those of you Up Top might have to wait a while to see your comments appear. I may well be asleep when you read and post. Don't panic, nothing's gone wrong and you don't need to do anything – just hang on a little while.

My Other Poetry Blogs

Enheduanna's Daughter
For all types of verse except 'small stones'.
This is now my main poetry blog, dating from February 2018.

The Passionate Crone
Previous to Enheduanna's Daughter (March 2006 – Feb. 2018).
Still available to read as an archive.

Sketches: Verse Portraits
Impressions/glimpses of people who have made an impact: living or dead, historical or current, real or fictional, ordinary or famous, or legendary.

The blog you are reading, Stones for the River, is specifically for 'small stones'. (See definitions above.) These are usually in verse but sometimes in prose, and occasionally include haiku or other short forms. The designation 'small stones' refers to the kind of content even more than the size.
