Confusion of Season

The usual mild Autumn.
Again the plants are fooled,
blooming as if in a second Spring —
yellow gorse everywhere along the roads,
gardens profuse with new colour.

  2. I have experienced autumns like that as well. Beautiful while they last, keeping the beauty alive just a short time longer.

  7. I have summer flowers still blooming and autumn colours on the trees, I think our seasons are getting so mixed up they don't know when to bloom and when not. Lovely bit of confusion Rosemary.

    1. I wonder where you live, Rambly T? Sounds interesting! Here the autumn is always like this, due to the sub-tropical climate. We have had other effects from climate change, but thankfully our twice-a-year Spring hasn't altered yet.

    1. Most of our trees here are evergreens, so we have leaves and flowers at once. On the other hand, we don't see many autumn leaves.
