After we've gone ...
After we’ve gone
(I like to think)
Earth will at last
rest ...
and recover.
For Weekly Scribblings #35: Rest at Poets and Storytellers United.
I have boundless optimism for the earth's ability to recover. For humanity's ability to realize what they're doing and actually fix things...ehhhhhhhhhhh, not so much.
Nice question you raised. It used to be such a peaceful planet. We are a tough and cLever spcies though very wasteful and selfish, makes me wonder what might perservere to enjoy. ..

Yes...I hope so too. I also hope humans don't get the opportunity to destroy any more planets
ReplyDeleteI agree!
DeleteA hopeful thought, Rosemary. I’d like to come back, just to check that all is OK.
ReplyDeleteThat would be nice!
DeleteMaybe, maybe not
ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday
Much✏love

Very optimistic, Jim!
DeleteLet us hope Earth recovers from our blatant misuse.
ReplyDeleteI think it will – but that it's bound to be very different, as many life forms besides our own probably won't.
DeleteSigh, we certainly have given it stress. May we become better earth keepers.
ReplyDeleteThat's a good prayer.
DeleteI am trusting that is the case ... fingers and toes crossed!
ReplyDeleteYes, and lots of praying!
DeleteHoping earth recovers, before it is not possible to do so any more.
ReplyDeleteIt rests with us, doesn't it?
