Driving

Driving, I notice
I am singing old songs,
very old, that my father sang:

Day-zee, Day-zee
I-rene Goodnight
Meet / Me In / St Louis, Louis ...

My father loved cars and driving.
I notice I’m bringing him back
to sit with me as I drive,
and sing with me.

  4. I sing Goodnight Irene too as I'm driving and thinking of my Nana...these are the moments I cherish what she left behind. :)

  5. Oh, that's nice! Glad I'm not the only one. Now, when I drive, I'll also think that there is a NY taxi driver singing along. :)

  7. Good driving songs, obviously. :)

Nice to think that, in such different places and times, we shared some aspects of our childhoods.
